Our Maui direct oceanfront unit at the Milowai Maalaea has been totally and completely renovated. It includes granite slab countertops, all new kitchen cabinets and new appliances, all new flooring, and new furnishings. In fact, everything is brand new since this unit has never been in a vacation rental program before. This unit is perfect for your honeymoon and special anniversary or just an incredible vacation on Maui. This unit is only 30 feet from the buildings edge to the ocean, the closest on Maui. This is a top floor unit which provides the utmost in privacy and spectacular views. The unit was immaculate, and well-appointed with the comforts of home, including dishes, extra towels, even a cooler we found useful for our day-long drive to Hana. We found Ma'alaea to be the perfect base from which to explore the island. Located just 15 minutes from morning snorkeling in Wailea, only 200 yards from the impressive Maui Ocean Center, and a mere 20 minutes to Ka'anapali to watch the sunset. After a day of site-seeing, it was an added-value to simply pull into our reserved parking spot, as other rentals often offer a first-come, first-park policy. The sight-seeing continued when we returned to our lanai, as this was a view we appreciated the most. The priceless view would easily cost two to three times at other hotels on the island, as it offered a serene spot for our sunrise breakfasts, complete with spotting sea turtles below. We would love to reserve this table for two during the winter months, as this is the ideal spot for whale watching, and #404 comes ready with a set of binoculars. We've rented condos in the past that have claimed to have trade winds, only to feel as hot as Tucson, but #404 truly offered pleasant breezes on demand, with just an open window. The owner, Tim, was pleasant to deal with and easily accessible throughout our stay. He assured our stay was comfortable and pleasant, and offered the aloha spirit. And although we didn't take advantage of the full kitchen and grill, #404 would certainly serve as the ideal dinner hot spot. We have already recommended #404 to friends and we also hope to return. rental condos at our rates. Kihei Bay Vista A204 was a perfect place for us. The unit was very clean and just as described. The kitchen was fully equipped, with new appliances, a convenient washer/dryer in the hall closet. The bathroom was very nicely upgraded..the best shower we've used/ compared to a couple condos on Kauai, and another on Maui we've stayed at. We didn't have to bring any towels, which was really nice, and there were beach toys, chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, coolers,..all we needed for great times on the sandy beaches. We did 'snorkel bob' our gear, but there also were some there. The WiFi in the unit was handy for downloading e-books, and the TVs were nice too. The lanai was very pleasant to sit and read, eat, relax, watch birds, etc. We were shown a neighboring unit, by its owner, and though it was a mirror image, ours was so much nicer, with the updated bath and kitchen, and the higher end furnishings! The complex was kept very clean, without daily leaf blowers, etc, and the place was quiet. The swimming pool was very nice, and kept sparkling clean. The location was great, we liked the North end of Kihei, it was very nice. It was nice having Tim (the owner) give us a call to see how we were doing..was everything going well..any problems..etc. Two years ago, we had minimal cooking facilities in the condo, so we ate out for almost every breakfast, and we tried almost the whole menu at the Kihei cafe..a absolute must...but with the full kitchen, I made breakfast for my bride all but 3 mornings.
